The Story Behind Simply T
More Than Just an Artist
I’m Theresa—most people call me T. My journey didn’t start with "Stress-Less" systems; it started in the professional art world. As a professional artist and educator, I spent years mastering studio techniques. But when life got full—balancing a career, motherhood, and homeschooling—I realized that the way I was taught to "do art" didn't always fit into a hectic daily schedule
I found myself becoming an "over-capacity" mum, and even as a pro, I started experiencing "Creative Dread". Art was starting to feel like another chore on the to-do list rather than the escape it was meant to be.
The Birth of the Stress-Less System
The Simply T approach was born out of a simple necessity: I needed art to be a "Safe Haven" for my own mental health and my kids' development. I began refining those high-level professional studio techniques for "real-life" application.
I realized that art doesn’t have to be messy or labor-intensive to be satisfying. This shift in perspective changed everything. I stopped focusing on the final masterpiece and started prioritizing connection over result and process over perfection. This philosophy became the foundation of my Stress-Less System—a way to trade creative dread for shared discovery.

The Tools I Use (Simplified for Your Life)
To make art a "Safe Haven" instead of a chore, I’ve developed specific systems that manage decision fatigue and energy. While the philosophy is the same, I’ve tailored the application for wherever you are in your journey:

For the Passionate (but busy) Hobbyist
For the (over-capacity) Homeschool Mum
I help you master professional studio techniques in the small pockets of time you actually have.
The Splat System (Energy-Based Prompts): Instead of staring at a blank page, you choose a prompt based on your current energy level—perfect for a quick 5-minute creative reset.
Foundation Invitations: Skill-based sessions designed to help you build your technique repertoire without being labor-intensive or time consuming.
Simplified Art Kits: Curated tools and low-mess supplies that remove the friction of getting started, so you can spend your time creating, not prepping.
I provide a stress-less framework to help you nurture family bonds and child development through process-art.
Playground Invitations: Sensory-based art setups that encourage children to explore and discover through the making process.
The Dump Bucket & Full-Circle Cleanup: Practical task management tools that build executive function and stewardship in your kids (while keeping your home sane).
Shared Discovery: Systems designed to move the focus from the "masterpiece" to the connection you build with your kids while creating together.

Coming Soon to Simply T
I’m currently working on some exciting new resources specifically for the busy hobbyist. If you’ve ever felt like you just don't have the time or energy to "be creative," these are for you.
The Simply T Hobbyist Guide (Working Title)
Following the release of Permission to Paint, I’ll be launching a companion guide focused on 5-minute art prompts. This book uses the Splat System to help you choose a creative activity based on your current energy level. Whether you have five minutes for a quick "Splat 1" sketch or more time for a deeper "Splat 3" session, you’ll have a roadmap to stay inspired every day.
Simplified Art Kits
To take the guesswork out of your practice, I am developing curated art kits designed to curb overwhelm. These kits will feature the same low-mess tools and professional techniques I use in my own studio, refined for your real-life schedule. No more hunting for supplies—just open the kit and start creating.
